This song kinda explains it perfect... but the video doesn't.
I have a fiancé, and I love him to death. We are getting married. He works... a lot, and things got a little... stale... for us. I have a strong... sexuality about me. I started to become physically attracted to his best friend over the course of a year... and the feelings were mutual evidently. A drunken night we kissed. We told my fiancé the day after, ashamed of ourselves and scared. He was understanding. We're all three always together on the weekends... bonds became stronger and feelings more obvious. My fiancé would joke that his best friend is better for me and I should be with him (this reminds me of the "You said there's tons of fish in the waters So the waters I will test" line). A joke based in truth. Listen to this song and think about this. I now have a fiancé and a boyfriend, and there is a physical relationship with both, but sometimes I think more about my friend than my fiancé... We've been like this for a while now... interesting huh? I kinda think this is the exact song I thought would never exist to fit... I needed this. |

God. This song is really groovy. I understand that this is part of this "Year Zero/ The Slip story line" but this song really fucking reminds me of Pretty Hate Machine. Seriously. It could be thrown in and no one would be the wiser.. except for the piano, which I love.
As people have said, the great thing about Trent is he write so everyone can actually have they're own meanings.
What does this song mean to me? Sex. I've even been in this situation before. Love this song. |

i heard this song a looong time ago and then when i recently was turned onto this newer band i found that they remixed this song. its one of those songs that i can listen to and depending on my mood get both death and sex out of it completely..

to me its about getting too deep into a relationship and she cant commit to a marriage because she.. "can't quite get there cause they've all forsaken" her, being other men.. so she leaves the guy (or is trying to) because hes not the one for her.. but she leaves a part of herself with him because she was actually happy at one point with him and she'll never get that back
and maybe i just think of it like that because it speaks to me and thats where im at right now.. but thats what it means to me. |

As BrknPhoenix posted early on after the physical CD came out (and on the first page of comments), "Whoever made them obviously doesn't own the CD, because the words are on the inside of it."
and the lyrics are written out with the post, check it out, maybe read other comments first and take note of the date and realize that someone posted these lyrics before the CD came out. |

yeah, the song doesnt really fit into the CD if you think about it...
but now we all know why...
it was just thrown in there because it was gonna be in the Doom movie and he wanted it to be in the first half of the CD...
didnt really like the song before, but now that i think about the words, and the movie Doom.. its a great song and it makes sense with the movie.
and then TREXOR brings the actual meaning that Trent intended. |

i loved this song from when i first heard it about a year ago and then the videos poped up, and now its being used in Chicken Little commercials..
i used to get annoyed with people when i would sing it and i was "crazy" for knowing a song in a different language, but then a guy in a video makes it all better by making fun of it, bah.. i think its all good now, and the meaning is just there, so yeah.
