wooow. i had no clue this song was about rape victim. i thought it was about a bully making fun of someone. -"his words were sharpened hooks beneath your skin u left them in" see i thought the bully was calling someone bad names, and those bad words stayed with the victim for a long time and really hurt him deep. and usually we make fun of people to make ourselfves feel better. so "he shined into the eyes around him" when he was cutting this other person down it made him look cool. but that makes more sense that its a rape victim. dan weyandt is so smart with his lyrics! zao forever! |

he's in awe at god's wonderful creation when he says "what a broad world we roam in, what a sea to swim in." then he says so i begin with the end in mind. at first i thought that sounded depressing, because the end is death, and dont want to start out by thinking of death. but actually death for us as christians means heaven. so if he's going through a hard time just always think it will be worth it when we die and go to heaven. he also says "but death is a doorway" a doorway to heaven. thats my thoughts on it i like this song a lot. |

wow i didnt think this song was about a girl at all. i thought it was about suicide. is sounds like he's gonna drown himself. like hes just aimlessly swimming in the ocean deciding if he should drown himself or not. then when he started sinking down, before he died god saved him. and the lord untied him because he tied his hands so he wouldn't be able to swim. idk, something like that. very cool song |
