| Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I don't know if this is what the song's about, but some people shoot heroin into their corneas and this is called "Black Hole Sun" because before they go blind(which almost always happens) they see a circular black shape in the sky thus giving it the name, "black hole sun" | |

"there aint no proof courtney killed kurt. her and her band are fucking awesome, just not as awesome as nirvana, so everyone seems to hold that against her. the one thing i can never understand is, everyone loooves kurt and hates courtney, but if kurt was such a GOOD guy, why would he marry such a BAD chick?" Personally, I don't like Hole because Courtney didn't write any of the songs. Billy Corgan wrote half of them then Kurt wrote the rest. One reason Kurt might have married such a "bad chick" is the same reason he did heroin or, rather, a result of doing heroin. Bad judgement. He was actually in the process of divorcing her when he died. btw, I absolutely love At The Drive-in "why he wud kill himself is there ne reasons hed kill himself??" Because he was Bi-polar and he shot heroin. The fame got to him. He hated it. |

"there is no place I can go there is no way I can hide it feels like it keeps coming from the inside" oops, I just noticed this line and I wanted to comment on that too. I think this sort of talks about the fact that depression(clinical depression that is) isn't caused by things that happen to you, but rather, what goes on in your brain(it feels like it keeps coming from the inside) |

"there is a game I play try to make myself okay try so hard to make the pieces all fit smash it apart just for the fuck of it" Whenever I listened to this I thought it was about being deep in the clutches of depression and I always listen to this when I get down and it's like, "wow, this is how I feel" The first verse(the one I quoted) to me seems like it's about how people deal with their depression like some people who cut to try to relieve the feelings (Try to make myself ok) then you try really hard to work through your problems and all that and you just give up and say fuck it (try so hard to make the pieces all fit/smash it apart just for the fuck of it) |

"thought he had it all before they call his bluff found out that his skin just wasn't thick enough wanted to go back to how it was before thought he lost everything then he lost a whole lot more" This is one of my favorite verses in all of music. Probably close to my favorite nin song. |

"bort the great.... shut up.... not eligible? what is this the nba draft? they sang it so who cares... calm down" Just because you heard the word, "eligible" on TV when they were talking about the draft doesn't mean it's the only place the word is applicable. Yeah, weird, isn't it? In the English language our words can multi-task. |

| Foo Fighters – The Last Song Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Itrytobreathe, That was initially what I thought too when I heard "This is the last song I'll dedicate to you." Then I heard, "Made my peace, now I'm through" and thought that could mean that he's come to terms with Cobain's death and he's not as angry with Courtney any more. Just my thoughts. | |
