This is my first post so try to humour me! Reading the lyrics without listening to the tune reminds me of being drunk. "I caught a glimpse but it's been forgotten" reminds me of a moment of clarity. "I made a vow to carry you home" is like when you promise to look after someone but paralyse yourself with alcohol or other drugs. "If you feel sick if you pass out" could be to do with too much alcohol or excess of drugs. "I figured it out" is like another moment of clarity. "I can see it again" could be sobering up or a comedown when everthing is understood and seen in a new light. Just a different take on the song. I also find the beat interesting as it reminds me of old style rave music which links back to the ecstacy meaning. Also the line "I really tried to be what you wanted" could refer to the reason he took ecstacy (confidence etc) |
