| Crass – Punk Is Dead Lyrics

this is the first Crass song I ever heard. The lyrics are genius. But i'm not going to take a side on whether or not punk's dead/ whether or not the Clash are poseurs/ etc but i will say that Crass does NOT suck. They are an amazing true punk band. |

no comments yet? what the fuck. this is probably one of the most amazing songs in the history of punk rock. every single word of it is true. I AM HE AND SHE IS SHE BUT YOU'RE THE ONLY YOU! the best part. my friend used to always say that to me when i needed reassurance, or was tired of trying, or not fitting in or whatever. I absolutely love this song. I hung it up in my locker at school. |

| The Get Up Kids – Stay Gold, Ponyboy Lyrics

i just discovered this song. we had to read the book for school and do a final project, which was a "soundtrack". so i went to plyrics.com and searched for Ponyboy, thinking nothing would come up, but this song did. I downloaded it and used it for my Outsiders final project. Very, very good song. Fits with the book too. |

| Misfits – Last Caress Lyrics

classic Misfits song. one of my favorites. anyone who knows punk knows there's no such thing as a conservative punk. but good song, anyway. i was walking around at school singing it one day... but nobody seemed to care, since i've sung weirder songs. like Clams Have Feelings Too... |

| Senses Fail – Choke On This Lyrics

it's my favorite song by Senses Fail... it's far better in my opinion than any of the others. Let It Enfold You is pretty close, though. I just love the lyrics. My favorite song to "sing along" to. he he. "blow your brains... out on me!" is so intense. the best part of the song. |

| Don McLean – Vincent (Starry Starry Night) Lyrics

|
absolutely beatiful song. yes... my friend Anders burned me a mix with NOFX's cover of Vincent on it (in the NOFX version they leave out "Starry, starry night/ Flaming flowers that brightly blaze/ Swirling clouds in violet haze/ Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue/ Colors changing hue/ Morning fields of amber grain/ Weathered faces lined in pain/ Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.") My favorite part is "But i could've told you Vincent/ this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you". makes me tear up sometimes. It's one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. the original is much better than the NOFX one, of course, but it's still good. |

| Alkaline Trio – Donner Party Lyrics

|
hey, i just thought of something. Maybe he IS talking about God. And when it says "it was you that we were thinking of as we quietly died in the snow", the Donner Party was thinking about God. Maybe Skiba was just kind of mocking the whole God thing, like, the Donner Party believed in God so much (i dont know if thats true, im just guessing), but in the end, they just ended up a bloody mess on some godforsaken mountain. Like, religion really doesn't matter. It's all fucked anyway. Maybe that's the point he was trying to make. Kind of vague, though. I don't know. |

its a very sweet song. "and if it comes down to just you and i standing on the last corner of the last town of the last city, in the burning world, at least you'll still have someone ON YOUR SIDE." very uplifting; more optimistic than others. |

although this is a very beautiful song by a very beautiful band, i can't relate to it. living in the country, it's not really relevant to me... but oh well. i love it anyway. |

yes, a very sweet tune. an occasional love song is good from a band that is namely political. they should write more songs like this. |

damn right the system sucks. basically ALL systems suck. while our government's spending their wad bombing small underprivileged nations back into the Stone Age, kids like me are stuck in shitty schools that do nothing... and end up working dead end jobs till they die. i'm gonna steal that phrase "it will be a great day when our schools get all the money they need and the air force has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber." |

my all time favorite song by the Broadways. i love singin' along. it's super fast too like all the others, which is always a plus. don't like slow songs. political punk is the neutron bomb... hence this song. this song illustrates my disgust with the world. |

does anybody know what Bren is singing after Chris stops (after HAPPENS EVERYDAY...) i cant figure it out. the only part i can make out is WHEN I SEE YOU WALKIN'... WILL YOU STILL BE MY FRIEND? NO-O. but other than that... if you could tell me i'd repay you with lucky gold leprechaun coins. so whaddya say? |

exactly. owning and getting attached to THINGS is the most unhealthy thing you can do, mentally. just makes you more hollow and deteriorates your spiritual health. but you'll fit into the majority if you're a huge consumer. unfortunately. very awesome song! |

fucking love this song. along with I Hear Things Are Just As Bad Down In Lake Erie. The Broadways are like... modern... indie... already broken-up Dead Kennedys. They're amazingly wow-wow brilliant. "No one's happy but everyone's too busy to see" is probably my favorite line of theirs. Along with "the fish are fucking dead in the water and the feelings are dead on the shore." Stop and smell the roses, you know?!?! Our society's just racing along at light speed toward a big concrete wall. |

i agree with Miss Chainsaw... even though she posted like two years ago. Being young should not matter. I was eleven years old when i got my first Alkaline Trio album, Maybe I'll Catch Fire. Granted, it'd been out for two years already, but that doesn't matter. I loved it, and still do. It's my favorite of theirs. They were the first real band i listened to, and still my absolute favorite. |

the first time i heard this song when i was watching SLC Punk, i thought they were saying "sexy fathers" or something to that extent. but then i wised up. The credits may be my favorite part, because they play this song. Or the credits at the end, where they play Kill The Poor. My 2 favorite songs in that movie. |

i kind of agree with you, blakeguy. as i was listening to this song, i thought the same thing: he's talking about God. but that idea passed quickly. somehow it doesn't fit right... i dont know. all i know is, every time i watch SLC Punk, and they're at the part where Stevo and Trish are in the canyon where the Devil Worshipers go, and there's a river of blood flowing down the hillside, and Stevo is talking about how the Donner Party "Came through here... the cannibals... right... the two families..." and so on, THIS song pops into my head. it's a disturbing song for me. |

yes, this is my favorite song on Goddamnit. as you can see... i named myself after it... *hee hee* well yes, i borrowed Goddamnit from my sister, and i was just listening to it, and the ONE PART of the album that stuck out to me was where he sings "look at all those stars... look at how goddamn ugly the stars are". i got a little rush when i heard that. tee hee. i love this song immensely. |
