Crass – Punk Is Dead Lyrics 20 years ago
this is the first Crass song I ever heard. The lyrics are genius. But i'm not going to take a side on whether or not punk's dead/ whether or not the Clash are poseurs/ etc but i will say that Crass does NOT suck. They are an amazing true punk band.

Crass – Demoncrats Lyrics 20 years ago
a real anarchist anthem. Crass is a truly amazing band.

Crass – Big A Little A Lyrics 20 years ago
no comments yet? what the fuck. this is probably one of the most amazing songs in the history of punk rock. every single word of it is true. I AM HE AND SHE IS SHE BUT YOU'RE THE ONLY YOU! the best part. my friend used to always say that to me when i needed reassurance, or was tired of trying, or not fitting in or whatever. I absolutely love this song. I hung it up in my locker at school.

Manic Hispanic – Mommy's Little Chola Lyrics 20 years ago

The Get Up Kids – Stay Gold, Ponyboy Lyrics 20 years ago
i just discovered this song. we had to read the book for school and do a final project, which was a "soundtrack". so i went to plyrics.com and searched for Ponyboy, thinking nothing would come up, but this song did. I downloaded it and used it for my Outsiders final project. Very, very good song. Fits with the book too.

Misfits – Last Caress Lyrics 20 years ago
classic Misfits song. one of my favorites. anyone who knows punk knows there's no such thing as a conservative punk. but good song, anyway. i was walking around at school singing it one day... but nobody seemed to care, since i've sung weirder songs. like Clams Have Feelings Too...

Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics 20 years ago
yeah, on plyrics.com it was god complex. and i trust plyrics. they're the best. anyway, this is my favorite fall out boy song. just his voice... and the lyrics... yum yum

Senses Fail – Choke On This Lyrics 20 years ago
it's my favorite song by Senses Fail... it's far better in my opinion than any of the others. Let It Enfold You is pretty close, though. I just love the lyrics. My favorite song to "sing along" to. he he. "blow your brains... out on me!" is so intense. the best part of the song.

submissions
Senses Fail – Bastard Son Lyrics 20 years ago
one of my favorite Senses Fail songs. i really like the guitar part that starts right before "you failed all of your kids" and ends after "mock your face in hell". thats my favorite part of the song.

Don McLean – Vincent (Starry Starry Night) Lyrics 20 years ago
absolutely beatiful song. yes... my friend Anders burned me a mix with NOFX's cover of Vincent on it (in the NOFX version they leave out "Starry, starry night/ Flaming flowers that brightly blaze/ Swirling clouds in violet haze/ Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue/ Colors changing hue/ Morning fields of amber grain/ Weathered faces lined in pain/ Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.") My favorite part is "But i could've told you Vincent/ this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you". makes me tear up sometimes. It's one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. the original is much better than the NOFX one, of course, but it's still good.

Howie Day – Collide Lyrics 20 years ago
the only song on commercial radio that i enjoy listening to.

Alkaline Trio – Donner Party Lyrics 20 years ago
hey, i just thought of something. Maybe he IS talking about God. And when it says "it was you that we were thinking of as we quietly died in the snow", the Donner Party was thinking about God. Maybe Skiba was just kind of mocking the whole God thing, like, the Donner Party believed in God so much (i dont know if thats true, im just guessing), but in the end, they just ended up a bloody mess on some godforsaken mountain. Like, religion really doesn't matter. It's all fucked anyway. Maybe that's the point he was trying to make. Kind of vague, though. I don't know.

The Broadways – The Pope Of Chili-town Lyrics 20 years ago
so that's where the name came from. i always wondered. seemed like such a silly name for such a serious song.

submissions
The Broadways – The Nautical Mile Lyrics 20 years ago
its a very sweet song. "and if it comes down to just you and i standing on the last corner of the last town of the last city, in the burning world, at least you'll still have someone ON YOUR SIDE." very uplifting; more optimistic than others.

submissions
The Broadways – The Kitchen Floor Lyrics 20 years ago
yeah every band needs a good ole drinking song. lyrics remind me of alkaline trio. "someday it will drown me in the river" best part.

submissions
The Broadways – Restless Lyrics 20 years ago
although this is a very beautiful song by a very beautiful band, i can't relate to it. living in the country, it's not really relevant to me... but oh well. i love it anyway.

submissions
The Broadways – Red Line Lyrics 20 years ago
yes, a very sweet tune. an occasional love song is good from a band that is namely political. they should write more songs like this.

The Broadways – Jonathan Kozol Was Right... Lyrics 20 years ago
damn right the system sucks. basically ALL systems suck. while our government's spending their wad bombing small underprivileged nations back into the Stone Age, kids like me are stuck in shitty schools that do nothing... and end up working dead end jobs till they die. i'm gonna steal that phrase "it will be a great day when our schools get all the money they need and the air force has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber."

submissions
The Broadways – I Hear Things Are Just As Bad Down In Lake Erie Lyrics 20 years ago
my all time favorite song by the Broadways. i love singin' along. it's super fast too like all the others, which is always a plus. don't like slow songs. political punk is the neutron bomb... hence this song. this song illustrates my disgust with the world.

submissions
The Broadways – Fuck You Larry Koesche, I Hope You Starve And Die Someday Lyrics 20 years ago
why the hell has no one commented on this song? it's brilliant, just like every other song by the Broadways. JESUS HASN'T SAVED US YET, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE WILL TODAY? fuckin' amazing. i love that line.

The Broadways – Everything I Wanted To Know About Genocide I Learned In The Third Grade Lyrics 20 years ago
i love the broadways more than they will ever know. Chris and Bren were in the Broadways... which broke up... Chris and Bren started the Lawrence Arms. They aren't broken up, thank god. "genocide is nothing to celebrate, extinction doesn't deserve a parade" is classic. and "BUOYED BY THE BLOOD OF THE ABORIGINE."

submissions
The Broadways – Ben Moves To California Lyrics 20 years ago
does anybody know what Bren is singing after Chris stops (after HAPPENS EVERYDAY...) i cant figure it out. the only part i can make out is WHEN I SEE YOU WALKIN'... WILL YOU STILL BE MY FRIEND? NO-O. but other than that... if you could tell me i'd repay you with lucky gold leprechaun coins. so whaddya say?

The Broadways – 25 Degrees North Lyrics 20 years ago
exactly. owning and getting attached to THINGS is the most unhealthy thing you can do, mentally. just makes you more hollow and deteriorates your spiritual health. but you'll fit into the majority if you're a huge consumer. unfortunately. very awesome song!

The Broadways – 15 Minutes Lyrics 20 years ago
fucking love this song. along with I Hear Things Are Just As Bad Down In Lake Erie. The Broadways are like... modern... indie... already broken-up Dead Kennedys. They're amazingly wow-wow brilliant. "No one's happy but everyone's too busy to see" is probably my favorite line of theirs. Along with "the fish are fucking dead in the water and the feelings are dead on the shore." Stop and smell the roses, you know?!?! Our society's just racing along at light speed toward a big concrete wall.

Alkaline Trio – 5-3-10-4 Lyrics 20 years ago
my favorite song on Maybe I'll Catch Fire. I like yelling out "ALARM CLOCK BELLS ARE SCREAMIN' OUT THE SAME ROUTINE AGAIN... SCRAPE OPEN YOUR EYES, RISE AND FUCKIN' SHINE, 7 AM" rise and fucking shine. i love it.

submissions
Alkaline Trio – Cringe Lyrics 20 years ago
i agree with Miss Chainsaw... even though she posted like two years ago. Being young should not matter. I was eleven years old when i got my first Alkaline Trio album, Maybe I'll Catch Fire. Granted, it'd been out for two years already, but that doesn't matter. I loved it, and still do. It's my favorite of theirs. They were the first real band i listened to, and still my absolute favorite.

The Exploited – Sex And Violence Lyrics 20 years ago
the first time i heard this song when i was watching SLC Punk, i thought they were saying "sexy fathers" or something to that extent. but then i wised up. The credits may be my favorite part, because they play this song. Or the credits at the end, where they play Kill The Poor. My 2 favorite songs in that movie.

Reagan Youth – I Hate Hate Lyrics 20 years ago
ha ha ha. I used this song for an eighth grade final project i had to do on the book The Outsiders. We had to make a soundtrack for the book. I also included Circle Jerks, Blood For Blood, Op Ivy, and the Briggs... among others... ha ha ha.

Reagan Youth – No Class Lyrics 20 years ago
my favorite song by Reagan Youth. Why has no one posted anything on it...? It's so catchy and rebellious and yummy, like cupcakes laced with cyanide. Okay, i don't know what i'm talking about. But it's my favorite Reagan Youth song.

exthuse! that's so cool. You posted that on my birthday. WHEEEEE! well i actually haven't heard the Alkaline Trio cover of this song... but the original is good. Rocky Horror Picture Show's a good 'un.

submissions
Alkaline Trio – Ninety-Seven Lyrics 20 years ago
there aren't as many comments here because the same song is listed as '97, and that's where everybody puts their comments. But this song is fucking awesome. One of my favorites on the Alkaline Trio remastered-ish album.

Alkaline Trio – Donner Party Lyrics 20 years ago
i kind of agree with you, blakeguy. as i was listening to this song, i thought the same thing: he's talking about God. but that idea passed quickly. somehow it doesn't fit right... i dont know. all i know is, every time i watch SLC Punk, and they're at the part where Stevo and Trish are in the canyon where the Devil Worshipers go, and there's a river of blood flowing down the hillside, and Stevo is talking about how the Donner Party "Came through here... the cannibals... right... the two families..." and so on, THIS song pops into my head. it's a disturbing song for me.

Alkaline Trio – Trouble Breathing Lyrics 20 years ago
yes, this is my favorite song on Goddamnit. as you can see... i named myself after it... *hee hee* well yes, i borrowed Goddamnit from my sister, and i was just listening to it, and the ONE PART of the album that stuck out to me was where he sings "look at all those stars... look at how goddamn ugly the stars are". i got a little rush when i heard that. tee hee. i love this song immensely.
