If you listen to all other songs in order on 'The Poison'...then this song will make a lot of sense & be obvious to you.
There is a whole story to the album...
Basically a guy & girl are having a bad relationship, he has been thinking bout leaving her but can't bring himself to...until he eventually finds her cheating on him (with one of his best friends), then he snaps...because of all that has built up & he ends up killing her.
So by this song (10 Years Today) the guys friend (the one who the gf cheated with) kills himself....so the guy is really shocked & sad bout it, he never wanted for the friend to die, only the gf.
He goes a bit craZy because he has started to regret the 2 deaths that occurred & feels responsible for both of them & guilty that nobody knows what he did.
Then he starts to come to terms with the fact of what he did, and relives the day it happened because he had been lying to himself bout the girl, denying what he had done, not wanting to believe it.
