Dying Fetus – Pissing In The Mainstream Lyrics 19 years ago
It also speaks of the celebrities and such acting to blind society; allowing society to dream of what might be, and to distract them from their own pathetic lives.

These lyrics fucking rule, straight to the point.

Green Carnation – Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness Lyrics 19 years ago
What can I add to what's already been said ?

A masterpiece ? perhaps. A work of genius... possibly. But maybe those words can only begin to describe this song, it is one of the most indescribable pieces of artistic work that captures emotion, cognition and a certain something of human nature.

This is without a doubt one of the finest songs that has ever been written.

ahh ha, this song finally makes sense to me - it is just part of a story that is being told by the entire album, read the lyrics through from the beginning and everything will fit. It is a story about Tyrael, involving his emancipation as a man and a warrior, and the important people involved in his journey (his wife and his father).

This song is seemingly simple on the surface, but has some unexplained complexities to it.

The story itself is fairly easy to follow. The lines near the end...

"Dagaz is now sad and worried,
she knows that she'll get a child,
but it's not the baby, it's not Tyrael
it's the premonition of war that makes her wild."

Are interesting as the talk of war seems to come out of no where. Dagaz is the German "version" or spelling of a norse god - the dog of daytime, and Tyrael is a character out of Diablo.

If anyone can provide any further insight into this that'd be much appreciated as it's had me thinking for some time.

Dream Theater – A Change of Seasons Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with all of the previous comments - it is truly an emotional masterpiece.

Besides it dealing with life in general (specifically his), it's also about how people treated him after his mother died.
