| Bury Your Dead – The Color Of Money Lyrics | 20 years ago |

In my honest oppinion , I think thing song has nothing to do with an unsucessful relationship with a girl. Moreover, it is about a man's own constant struggle with regaining his stronger alter-ego.(self-improvement/maturity) "I see you're weak, Did you see that we were strong?" ,his stronger alter-ego looking down at his own weak self/existence "We all make mistakes in life, You make your choice, at the same time you made mine" - reassures his self that everybody achieves this new low and it is his own decison to lift himself up. "You found a man that you'd give for, and what you gave would mean my everything", this doesnt necessarily mean that he is expressing this to a girl, he is stating this to himself, his alter-ego is merely telling him that in his own worthless state, he ended up in this misery and tragedy because he devoted himself to this life of self-corruption,wheteher it'd be involving drungs, alcohol etc. "You'd come around in the long run I can see now how we all lost hope cause we would spend everyday thinking about you We'd grow strong without you We had each other, that's all we needed Life wasn't easy but it could be beat A constant battle, mine for the taking, with them beside me, and that's all i'd need" -this part of the song is explaining his own will to regain himself, how he also slowly separated himself from hiw own mental strenght and will to resist temptation in the past, his alter-ego states that even though life wasn't easy, it was no reason to submit himself to some form of addiction that slowly degraded his life. ("We had each other, that's all we needed" his stronger-willed alter-ego is telling his wearker state that with with him, they would be able to overcome things. "A constant battle, mine for the taking, with them beside me, and that's all i'd need" he is seeing new hope now in this constant struggle to win the battle, 'them' is probably refering to his own aresnal of strength and resistance to temptation, or maybe his friends that helped him out of this rut, he is becoming more self-reliant and efficient. "The years without you were far from easy" means it has been long since he was in touch with his stronger self "We'd have our visits but only in my dreams" his stronger self was kept sleeping dormant in his sub-conscoiusness. "I might sleep smiling though i was cold" although he survived each day in his weak state, he always felt a cold emptiness inside "We had a fire that's not what makes a home"the 'fire he talks about maybe refering to this insatiable motive for destruction, but this kind of destruction little did he know is destroying himself "Forget the past, let's forget the struggle" his stronger self is telling him to let go of his past, whatever your past has been, you have a spotless future "We have you back and that's all i need to know You need us now and we all forgive you I see you're weak, did you see we're strong? Are you proud that we all turned out so strong?" his own stronger self-conscience is forgiving him and extends this oppurtunity to himself to rise out of this hell-hole he has created for himself and to stand with this new found outlook on life. |

| System of a Down – Aerials Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| do u think this song may just be prophecizing the assimilation and acceptance of extra-terrestrials into our society in the near future? or it just maybe the acceptance of those 'outcasts' in our society, deemed because of their looks, orientation, cultures, or beliefs. If you've seen the music video, your initial reaction to the kids in the video maybe your same impression to those different in our society. | |

| yah clairebaby i have to agree that beat at the very end of the song is quite catchy, after watching the whole video and it comes to that beat, it instills a sense of realization of one's actions, fits the descending mood very well | |
| Death from Above 1979 – Cold War Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| the war that they talk about probably is refferin to this akward tension that these 2 individuals that just cannot seem to express their love for one another, it either has to result to violence or silence | |
