Chuck Berry – Johnny B. Goode Lyrics 20 years ago
What the (dagger, sword, heart, exclamation point, heart) is wrong with other people???!!! They always comment on heavy metal, shock jock rockers, along with Eminem, BUT THEY CAN'T RECOGNIZE CHUCK BERRY??!!! I heard he was a great influence to The Ramones, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and much more. I also bet that without him, eminem would run out of sampling material.

Ramones – The KKK Took My Baby Away Lyrics 20 years ago
In this song, I heard that the band members were having trouble with each other because one of the members were going out with another members girlfriend so the song is practically calling that member a kluxer. AND PLEASE DON'T INSULT ME BECAUSE MY INTERPRETATION IS BAD. I'M JUST ONLY GETTIN' INTO THEM.

Nirvana – Baba O'Riley (The Who cover) Lyrics 20 years ago
I heard it all, and Pete Townshend probably feels the same way about Kurt.Kurt shouldn't even be talking since the who are more talented in lyrics and playing their instruments than Nirvana. I've listened to Rape Me, Come As You Are, and Teen Spirit and they alll sound the saame! (not the fun way the Ramones do it) During the performance why did they sound like System of A Down?

The Rolling Stones – Stray Cat Blues Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is definately about a very bad boy Mick Jagger. I think that he couldn't hold those manly feelings after touring in Asia. What other type of girls wear cat ears? This song's lyrics were probably written by Keith Richards who heard his partner muttering some weird stuff when they were in some hotel in Asia.

U2 – Discothèque Lyrics 20 years ago
I love this song. I never knew u2 could make goood dance music. I wonder if they actually play this song in clubs. I know this isn't traditional but why are people so persnickity, it's great. I think that the song is responding to how some non- u2 fans call them repeatative, by "you know what it is, but you still want some." And the "lovey dovey stuff" is a self- parodizing line

U2 – Mofo Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is so groovy. I think it has a good beat, but it is too bouncy to be taken as a serious song. I think that Bono was just stringing pop phrases like kool and the gang says "sophisticated momma". however, I could be wrong, since these comments are connected with bono's biographical facts.

U2 – Elvis Presley And America Lyrics 20 years ago
This is the weakesty song on the album, so why does everyone love it so much? I know it is kind of relaxing, but it is extremely offbeat, and if Eno kept the music how it was it could have been better.

John Lennon – How Do You Sleep? Lyrics 20 years ago
If you have the vinyl "Imagine" or reverse speech technology, you should play this song backwards to hear John Lennon say, "Hey, Poor Lindy. So Mean, gets him nowhere."

Paul McCartney – Too Many People Lyrics 20 years ago
I think that Paul has more talent than John Lennon because this song rocks better than "How Do You Sleep?" However, I think John seems to be a more emotional lyricist, which is his strong point. I first didn't know what this song means but now there's an explanation I could only feel sad for the two former friends. Former band members almost always seem to show bitterness to each other

John Lennon – How Do You Sleep? Lyrics 20 years ago
... AND I THOUGHT ONLY RAPPERS HAVE "BEEF." By listening to this song, I was definately proven wrong. I never knew the ex- Beatles were so bitter to each other. However, I hate to say that in this song, JOHN LENNON IS A TOTAL HYPOCRITE.He should never have sang "the sound you make is musak to my ears/ you must of learned something in these years" because Paul McCartney taught John how to handle a guitar. Without Paul, John Lennon would still be playing his guitar upside down (or backwards, or whatever) like a banjo. Without Paul, he wouldn't have been the musician he was when he was alive. NOTE: I KNOW ABOUT RAP BATTLES BECAUSE I WAS STUPID TO CALL RAP "GOOD MUSIC" BEFORE, AND I ALSO KNOW A SAD (INSULTS ALL DELETED) PERSON WHO THINKS THE BEATLES SUCK, AND EMINEM RULES, EVEN THOUGH THAT CANDYMAN RIPPED OFF A ROLLING STONES SONG

The Who – The Punk And The Godfather Lyrics 20 years ago
This is one of my favorite songs on the album, and I just learned that the the guy using synthisizers to talk is saying "my generation" from their song in the debut album. Thanks lyrics people, you saved me.

U2 – Bad Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is obviously an anti-drug anthem. It has a very powerful message and would persuade me better than all of these terrible educational films. I think it had something to do with the rock n' rollers abuse of heroin because u2 was formerly a punk rock band, and they talk about "surrender, let it go,dislocate" as in giving up your drug addiction. What's pretty sad is I heard bono got into drug trouble during the Popmart Tour

U2 – A Sort Of Homecoming Lyrics 20 years ago
This is one of my favorite u2 songs. I am very sad that people don't even know this song. It was a very touching song and caused me to sing terrible reditions of their songs in the shower. As you can see, people are probably too busy downloading "Hollaback Girl" on their ipods to listen to real music.
