i just think its about hesitancy, fair'n'square... 2 ppl love each other, tho they dont know it, or maybe they do but fear to go into the open with it. i love this song because it reminds me how my own big mistake happened, and i think this is how the girl i had in mind think about it now. At least thats what i hope... noone knows :) |

I also relate to this song as a boy (me right now) who cant get the girl he wants. In first stanza i guess the "my song is love, love to the loveless shown" can be translated to "my life is love, love to the loveless shown". RIght now I dont have love, but i look at it everyday in shape of the girl i love. The guy in the song just cant help being in love and begs her to accept him. Second stanza,he says that "can she not see?" And again that it would be best for the 2 of them to be together. In the chorus he cannot take back what he has said (for me, i cannot take back that i already told her i love her), and he cannot say that he doesnt love her cuz that would be lying. And he has to get the message through to her. In the third stanza its a bit of the first stanza again, but he also tells her that he loves her so much, He's on fire for her, clearly = He loves her and she knows it. In 2nd chorus a line is added which just tells that living without her is a hell. In the fourth stanza he has given up, and then he finds out that she actually liked him too i think, but then its too late, maybe because she's with another guy now. And then he is on this platform and cant move on, he's stuck without her and is nothing. This is as I see the song, cause thats how i can relate it to my own life, actually in a very similar way. |

No comments yet?? Well Kashmir isnt fairly well know internationally, but they should be :P Th song is great and is abviously about love. It portrays my own situation perfectly... The meaning of the first verse is pretty obvious, but there is some PERFECT choice of words here. "What IF and what IF and what IF! What IF she doesnt want anything, what IF she does?" really shows how hesitant one can be when it comes to telling her the truth, and i know the feeling pretty well. In the 2nd verse, the guy has already passed the girl by and wants to be together again.. The chorus is about, go tell her how you feel, nothing to be afraid of and no one is after you, no one is watching, do what you see best. 3rd verse is about every day. i can relate to myself here, im looking at the girl i love everyday almost and it cant compete witht it once was, with the pictures i got of her. O the pictures she is always happy. In the last verse she says good bye, the guy its about told her how things really were, and realized she was not interested, she begs him to let it slide cuz it will be best for the 2 of them =( As for myself, i fear the last lines is what she is going to say when i finally pull myself together and tell her, so this song really means a lot to me. |
