I agree with Baseline - not only does that tie it in with the rest of the albumn, but it makes the whole thing make sense. I think it's too much of a grand sweeping song to have a similar meaning to Annie.
Can anyone explain the meaning of the "Big Green Monkey"? |

Feels to me like it's about a fading relationship. There are a lot of problems that he's trying to mend, but getting sick of doing it. "The season is way to cold" means that this era in the relstionship is too difficult. |

I think it's interesting to compare this version to the english one - in particular:
No! Eres igual que yo
(No! Your not the same as me)
Whereas in the english it's all about being the same... |

I agree with the video - I expected a lot of fights and explosions, but was sorely disappointed. It's the kind of dumb self-serving video I'd expect from an RnB song, not something like this - Compare to the Sinner video, and it's a BIG change. This puts the song is a poor light - instead of stepping up for a fight, it seems more like stepping up to a business takeover. |

As has been stated, this song is about Scorpion and Quan Chi - "You can't kill me, I'm immortal" - on death, scorpion is just sent back to Hell. "i can see the fear that's in your eyes" - in the Netherrealm, Quan Chi was too scared to fight scorpion. Finally, the stuff about loyalty refers to MK4, where Quan Chi betrayed Scorpion by lying so that Scorpion would kill Sub-Zero. |

there's no way to write "raz var tri" in this character set. You can only approximate, so it really doesn't matter. |

It speaks to me about ultimate patriotism, something that I can definately identify with - For me, although I'm not, and never will be, in the military, if my country needed me, I'd do anything no matter how grave. Would this make me a bad/evil person? The song states that: "I go to Church and tithe", meaning that you can still be a good person... |

A slightly altered version of this song (starts of with 1920's style singing of some of the lyrics up until "and all the "could have beens" rearrange", then bursts into the actual song from the start) was used on a game "Legends of Wrestling". If placed into that context, then it seems like it's about someone who started off doing something competative, and at the start things were easy, but after a while became harder.
