| First off i love this song especially the 3 lines leading up to the guitar solo including the guitar solo. and if you are going to babble how you hate a song at least give reasons, dont go blabbing on how you said you hated it on an exam without reasons why you hate it. I can see why you wouldnt like it if you were all about hard rock shit, but i dont know you, so please elaborate the next time you say you hate something, because undefined words are easily mistaken for something they are not meant to be. | |

to me videos and movies warp the actual meaning of a song but thats just me, and I wont relate it to the movie collateral. having that said i think it is about someone has such a connection with another person that they knew what each other wanted without saying anything. Once upon a time I was of the mind To lay your burden down And leave you where you stood And you believed I could You'd seen it done before I could read your thoughts Tell you what you saw And never say a word But now all that is gone Over with and done Never to return Then one of the two was lost to a death or some other cause and the one that was left just felt that there was nothing left to live for and became lifeless, and as for being the shadow on the sun, to me that means when others look at that person all they see is something that could have been brighter but became a shadow due to the loss that was suffered. | I believe that this song has the pace of like a stone, but the type of lyrics of shadow on the sun, and yes I did hear a little of Bono when it was mentioned. This song may be a little repetative when he keeps saying someone but all he is saying no matter what is going on around you do what you feel is right not what a group of people think. That is one of the basic teachings, be your own person, listen to what you want to do and not what others want you to do. | |
