Is it just me, or does MCR have alot of refrences to Drag queens and bisexuality in their lyrics? I mean this line: "Well don't I look pretty walking down the street. In the best damn dress I own?" - Seriously, somebody is obsessed...haha... Anyhow, I love the whole record, even though a poor european kid like me has a hard time understanding what this crazy american dude is singing about, hehe :P |

I think this song is about a guy who is gay, if it's Gerard or nor, who cares, and this guy is in love with another guy, and these two (how we're just two men as god had made us) make it very clear that they are gay, maybe in the resturant? And then they're both put in jail for "the crime" of being gay, and they have terrible things happen to them there, rape, and such...And these lines I think is the one guy telling the other guy, his loved one, how he hates being here, and they both agree that it is horrible: "they all cheat at cards and the checkers are lost my cellmate's a killer they make me do pushups in drag but nobody cares if you're losing yourself am i losing myself? and well i miss my mom will they give me the chair? or lethal injection? or swing from a rope if you dare oh nobody knows all the trouble i seen" Then they encourage each other by saying "take it like a man" .... That's my opinion anyway, hehe. |
