| Coldplay – Yellow Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It is clear to me that all of the people on this board value unconditional love. Someone who would bleed themselves dry for another. This song is just another song about Chris Martin's belief in Jesus Christ. If you seriously think about it, it sounds like it is from the perspective of God, and he is telling us, his creation what he would (and has) done for us. | |

| Why aren't they considered a Christian Band?! | |
| Coldplay – How You See the World Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is about the meaning of life. Searching for the way you see the world. Searching for Jesus. | |
| Coldplay – Til Kingdom Come Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is obviously a Christian song about a relationship with Jesus. | |

This song is just one more clear representation of Coldplay's deeply spiritual beliefs. Chris Martin has shown a gift of prophecy in his music before, and I do believe that Speed of Sound is another example of this. "every chance that you get is a chance you seize" It is true. Martin is a lyrical genius. He uses simplistic lyrics to explain complex biblical truths about the Holy Spirit. "how long am I gonna can stand with my head stuck under the sand I start before I can stop before I see thing the right way up" Again, good imagery showing a sinful life, a self obsessed life, turning to oneself for guidance and help when confused or afraid. He is wondering how long it will take before he gives in, and allows God to guide him. "some things you have to believe but others are puzzles, puzzling me" I take a different view than others on this line. I believe he is saying that sometimes you have to believe in something even though you may not understand it. There is a wonderful lyric that explains this "Would you believe me when I said that you dont need to wait for the answers before you step out in your faith!?". Chris Martin believes with faith that Jesus is the truth. "if you could see it then you'd understand" Chris Martin's vision of birds flying, showing him how the universe was created. He could be talking about his literal view of the birds, and if you saw the vision, you would understand what he is talking about... or he could be saying that once you can see what he is talking about, all the confusions will go away and you will understand. |
