I totally agree with x_Heather_x - 'this is the modern way, faking it everyday' is soooo true to modern life. not necessarily in the sense that there are false people out there, but in the sense that we all have to fake it sometimes just so we can get out of bed. who can say they have never faked a smile or said everything was ok when it wasnt? |

I love this song (especially the singer's Sunderland accent) but have to agree that there isn't really much to the lyrics. Ah well...doesn't stop me jumping around like a maniac when it comes on! |

I pretty much agree with the interpretations that have been given so far but I see it slightly differently. 'coming out of my cage' = coming out of a relationship and hes 'doing just fine' but he sleeps with his ex and realises he still has feelings for her. However she has a new boyfriend and he is jealous and keeps imagining them together. He knows he has to move on even though he regrets splitting with his ex, 'but its just the price i pay, destiny is calling me'. 'I never...' at the end is like he never thought it would be like this. Hey, thats just my thoughts... |

To answer question from ksquared, "Gellar" is Uri Gellar, a psycic guy who is famous for being able to bend spoons with his mind. He is good friends with Michael Jackson...nuff said! I know that this song is about pins and needles but i see it a different way. To me it will always mean the realisation of your situation - finally seeing things and people for how they really are. |
