| The Spill Canvas – Self-Conclusion Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I love this song, its so beautiful. We all flirt with the tiniest notion Of self-conclusion in one simplified motion You see the trick is that you're never supposed to act on it No matter how unbearable this misery gets I absolutly love this part. I can relate to it very much. |

I have actually put a lot of thought to this song and this is what i think it means.. It is basically about this guy that broke up with his girlfriend and is really depressed, and is starting to relieze that this is life and is not blissfully ignorant like a child is.. The funeral is a metaphor for his depression. You know how people relate depression to deep holes, i think that is the grave holes he is talking about. Te funeral is moraphorically talking about his depression becuase of his girlfriend died and hes reliezing this is life and hes not an ignorant child any more. and usually at funerals people grieve and have sorrow for the person who died. and when he goes "and the irony of the story is when i fell to my knees and began clawing atthe tombstone of my......." he is saying it is ironic he is grievig and feeling sorrow for HIMSELF. and that kind of relates to the cutting issue. and how its more of a clique. and when he talks about "my secret is fatally gorgoues..." that part, i think he is basicallysaying Hes love for his girlfrend is so strong, but she doesnt feel thesame way and he would die for her. and metaphorically he did (depresion once again). Thats what i got outof the song and how i relate it to my life.. |
