ok this song was dedicated to me from my bf of 2 years! (*yay* thanks baby!, chad you rock!) and so yeah this says (and clearly states in [the best of everclear 1994-2004]) that this song is saying that money will never make anyone happy and as long as the love is there then everthing is ok! and EVERCLEAR KICKS ASS AND WILL ROCK ON FOREVA!!! |

this song is so about jesus to me and ever since i first listened to it the "nailed down" part to me always seemed like it had to do with jesus, but i think its saying that, like the part "could we have known" i think its saying that if we could have known that God would have to sacrafice his son, HIS SON to show us how much he cares and loves us..then it would have never happened, only if we would have known....and that if we did know then we of course wouldnt help "nail down"..yeah thats my whole impression of this song... |
