i practically grew up with this song. everybody was singing this when i was just learning to appreciate music... that makes this one of the most influential song of my life! everybody can relate to this song. it seems to me that it differs for wherever u are located. whether you're Irish, British, American, Asian, etc. maybe all of the things posted here are true. i believe that everyone has a right to their own opinion. u dont need to agree with it, u just have to RESPECT it. just like WAR. war happens because some people do not respect others... with all the war talk around this song is very timely...
