best song in ACLOTM, i dont think its about dirk, its too much of a song to dedicate it to an ex-bassist though it may had been inspired in a way or something, the world is a joke when out of love - thats beautiful. i know this is about the lyrics but i have to write something about the music, i miss mikes PRS sound!! i mean the jazzmaster sounds good but come on! this song would be so much better with at least some guitar distor.. it still is a GREAT song, but incubus has changed/evolved/ did the departure of dirk lance had to do with it? or would they had musically changed if he had stayed.. ben kenney is a great musician.. but dirk was just.. different.. |
