Wow, this song is amazing... Although I know it's about Anne Frank and I think she was an amazing person, I simply listen to the lyrics of "In An Aeroplane Over The Sea" (which allmusic called "existentialist") and feel like I AM floating off to a cloud, laughing out loud. The instrument in the background is called a theramin, which picks up radiowaves from movement... It's supposed to be very hard to play. Cool, huh? |

| Louis XIV – Finding Out True Love Is Blind Lyrics

Am I the only one that has thought that this song is completely, bluntly sarcastic and ironic? Wait, I see a few that agree when I go back over the comments. I hate the bad rap that the band has gotten because of its so-called "sexist" lyrics. I realize that a few other songs like "Paper Doll" are definitely sexual, but like candycanechild88 said above, the lyrics and repetitive line "finding out true love is blind", are total opposites. I love Louis XIV's sound-- they blend Rolling Stones, Bowie esque classic rock with a dance sort of beat on "Blind", and they seem like great guys from what I've read and seen... On a Yahoo interview the lead singer Jason Hill said that he was homeless before Louis released "The Best Little Secrets Are Kept". Normally I would be against guys saying those kinds of things, but somehow I just can't hate Louis XIV... But the chances of them coming to my midwestern state anytime soon are pretty slim. |
