My mum passed away 5 months ago, and the part where it says that heaven feels so far away, is exactly how I feel. I think that's the hardest thing when someone you cherish so much dies, the hard fact that they are so far away from you, like you are separated by an eternity and theres nothing you can do to feel close to them or feel their love anymore. This song is sung with so much emotion, you can really tell that he's been through it. |

It makes me so sad what this world is coming to and the fact that this generation now has to grow up in it, raise children in it and try to fix it all. I dont understand why we can't just all live in peace, just forget about religion and all the other shit coz all it does is cause wars. Or at least just accept each others differences, then we can just all get along with our lives. In the end all we need is each other and love, so all this religion-oil whatever war it is just a waste of time. We dont need religion to survive and we dont need oil - whats the point?! Oi Cbabs...Did u think that maybe Rutten182 might have a family member or friend or something with alcoholism? Im only 15 and I can relate to this song because my mum used to drink alot, so dont think that just because shes young she doesnt know anything about life. No hard feelings of course, I dont wanna start one of them stupid interent fights just thought id say that. Its true that ppl should listen to their older stuff, it is SO good. I only started listening to them when Take off your pants and jacket came out, so I was about 11 and I just fell in love. Then about a year later I borrowed Dude Ranch and Enema of the state off my sister and I realised just how good they were. I love ALL their songs, except im kinda over the popular ones like Dammit and All the small things now coz theyve been so overplayed on the radio. I still like them, but they have so many more great songs, I just cant believe it. Ive never found a band where I can like ALL the songs from so many albums!! I LOVE them, they are the best and im so sad that they broke up. But at least they have HEAPS of songs so you cant really get bored!! |

In australia, they have this ad about cancer research, and they use this song for the music. It kinda fits because we have yellow daffodils as the cancer symbol over here so yeh. I'm not saying its about cancer, but just thought id add that. The rest of the song doesnt make me think about cancer but when it says "you're skin and bones" - god that explains cancer so well. Thats how my neighbour is. He has cancer and only has 2 weeks to live, its so sad. He's always been chubby and now he really is skin and bones and has a yellow look to his skin. I think this song is definently about drug use...When you look at the film clip, it shows a girl growing up, she has the perfect life and everything you could wish for "shes an enfant, which means the spoilt and favoured child" - shes perfect in most peoples eyes.
