I was busting out all my older DMB cd's these past few days getting ready for the show in PHX on May 6th. This song to me is about crushing hard on a girl. I have a huge crush on a girl right now and it sucks not knowing how she feels. I kind of feel like that is what he is saying in this song. I actually asked her to go to the concert with me and if she can get her shift covered she is in. It would be wonderful to take her with me to my favorite artist of all-time. This girl is amazing and I can't get her out of my head. Like the lyric says, "Lovely lady, I am at your feet, Oh, God, I want you so badly. And I wonder this: Could tomorrow be so wonderous As you lay sleeping?" I do want her badly and it's killing me inside. I almost wonder if it would be better to just not go after her and wonder what it than to get a rejection... She is amazing! She is my "crush". |

| I am not a huge Enrique fan, but I do like this song. I was in this situation this past summer. I had been with this woman for 8 years and decided to break it off. I still have feelings of love for her, and tried to go back. I told her how much I loved her and wanted to be with her and she said she didn't love me like that anymore. I felt like she was "in a rush to throw me away." I love her so much and want to be with her, and she doesn't want to be with me anymore like that. It is killing me inside. This song is amazing. I am not a big Avril fan, but this song touches my heart. I recently went through a rough break up with my girlfriend of 8 years. Everytime I hear this song I think of her. This song means so much to me. It hurts so bad when I listen to this song. James did a great job, I know how he feels about this girl that he was in love with when he wrote this song. I have been best friends with this girl for a bout 10 years now. She was married throughout our whole friendship. We knew everything about each other, and we told each other how important we were. We finally told each other that we were in love. She was married so there was nothing I could do. She finally got divorced and she wanted to pursue a relationship with me. I kept saying no to her. I didn't tell her why. The reason was because I though she was just trying to get back at her husband. So we gave it a while before we decided to try. We started dating and it was great at first. Then things got rough. I had to break it off with her, I wasn't in the right place in my life to give her my all. Her world was crushed and I destroyed her. She loved me so much, and I screwed everything up. After that we stayed friends, not like before though. It was different. About 4 months later I went back to her and told her I loved her and wanted to be with her more than anything in the world. I was ready to give her my all. She told me she would never put herself in that kind of situation again where she could be so hurt. She told me she would date other guys, but not me. I was told we are just best friends, and that's it. Nothing more could ever happen. It hurts so bad. She is the one that I am supposed to be with and she wants nothing to do with me. This song is so true. Everybody feels this way one time or another. You see that BEAUTIFUL person and we know deep down inside we won't be able to have them. Sometimes we see them and appreciate his/her beauty. Other times it kills us inside because that person is somebody we know and no matter what we can't be with them. Just like James says in his song "But its time to face the truth, I will never be with you." This is for sure a beautiful song. I love it, even though it can make you feel depressed about that person. |

| I don't neccessarily believe the song is about stalking, but about not letting go of the women/girl he loves. I feel he was in love with this girl and she broke his heart. Due to that he dosn't want to let her go. I think he keeps following her to tell her he loves her and that they should be together. It sounds like a girl that I fell hard for and for no reason at all you ended it. I would call her all the time and try to tell her we were right for each other. I did not "stalk" her like it sounds like Chad is doing in this song. Bottom line: he dosn't want to let the one he loves go. Great song! | |

| This is succh a great song. I think of my old friends from JR. high, and high school. I miss those days. When you could play with your friends and not worry about life. All you were worried about is if you would be able to play the next night. Brings back some good memories, in the same breath makes me a little teary-eyed, know that we are getting older and knowing the past is the past and our lives must move forward. I hope the rest of the album i just as good as this song. | |
