As a diehard coldplay fan - I'm a little disappointed that this song premiered on something so trivial as the teeny-bopper show the OC - one of the reasons why I love Coldplay so much is because they refused to sell "Yellow" as a commercial jingle (until ABC finally got it) That being said - The song is about falling in love with someone but not having your feelings returned at all - so instead you settle for someone else but are perpetually left wondering about that original girl. It's also a plea for her to just fall in love with you and sort of a pledge that if she did, you'd always be there for her. |
