something biblical - a squeesebox is a "colloquial expression referring to any musical instrument of the general class of hand-held bellows-driven free reed aerophones. The term is so applied because such instruments are generally in the shape of a rectangular prism or box, and the bellows is operated by squeezing. Some consider squeezebox to be a derogatory term, although no concise English term exists to replace it." Thanks wikipedia...
Another great song by Fretwell - I was at school with him (2 years behind) in the oh-so lovely town of Scunthorpe and it's good to see him doing well. Also we've shared ex-bandmates as I was in a band with his old keys player. Not that I like to point that out or anything.... |

Great songwriter - Great modern protest song. The world's going to hell in that proverbial handbasket, artists and other cretive people should be making calls-to-arms and songs like this that make you contemplate what is going on in the world today. Check out the video at www.allofourhands.com |

Hasn't been commented on, eh? Well, I love this song personally and I think its about fearing the end of all things (literally or metaphorically) but not right now. "Yet as our hair turns gray/Everything is far from A.O.K./At least it's not the end of the world?" The question mark shows the doubt there. |

I don't feel it's about drug *addiction* as such. Drugs, certainly - Ecstacy/MDMA in specific. It's an early song and quite naive. SFA have never been anti-drugs exactly (I still remember reading about the acid/keyboard/defication incident...). It's also very ELO-esque. A great tune about youthful enjoyment of recreational drugs I can certainly relate with. |

"Marie Curie was Polish born but French bred (HAH! French bread!)"
Love that line. SFA are one of the few bands who can throw a funny line in a good song and still make it work!
SFA OK! |
