I saw Audioslave @ The Wiltern in LA on May 20th. and Chris Cornell said this before the song: "This next song is called 'Be Yourself'. And I think the message is pretty clear." And I agree. Just being yourself is all you can do. Whether you're down or on top. If you can just be yourself everything will be ok. This is such an amazing band, and Cornell is an amzing writer. I'm going through a tough time in my life right now, and this album is really helping me get through it. I just can't get enough Audioslave. |

| I agree with darkness that the song is about someone who is being controlled by the one they love, and even though he loves her, he doesn't completely trust her. So, he will keep her in the corner of his eye and watch her. | |
