| Sarah McLachlan – Stupid Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song is the first Sarah one I ever heard. I think it's not so much about cheating (remember, Sarah draws from emotional inspiration and if I'm not mistaken, she's happily married), but wanting what you know is bad for you. "But you come around in your time, speaking of fabulous places, create an oasis that dries up as soon as you're gone, you leave me here burning", these lines express how she feels about...hmmm. I'm really not sure how to put it into words, althoug I know what I want to say. But this song definitely isn't about cheating. I think it's a bit about remorse, actually. Remorse and naiveity. Favourite Line: "love has made me a fool, set me on fire and watched as I floudered" God, that's such beautiful poetry. |

| Sarah McLachlan – Angel Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Every Sarah fan knows she wrote "Angel" after reading a Rolling Stones article about musicians who OD and that she felt she could relate to their lonliness while on tour. I love it, though. My singing teacher gave me "Mirrorball" a few years ago and since then it's been my favourite song and it makes me cry. I'm not going to say I'm suicidal and totally relate to everything in it, but I can in a sense - the lonliness thing, you know? I love music and in the end, with or without meaning, this is a beautiful piece of acoustic melody that touches me so deeply. Favourite line: "Oh, beautiful release, memories seep from my veins".
