I think this is another song about drug use, and how it destroys people. Like she says how he is doing drugs (frank sinatra reference) because he has nothing better to do, and how the whole city just is messed up because of the background the people come from. Yet no one wants to get involved when they see it because they either dont want to get involved or they love to gossip about it. And she just wants to know how to fix it, but she knows she is just going to ignore it like everyone else because she says "we all lie so well" as in she will lie and not get involved too and in a sence she is also gossiping about it because she made a song about it. But she gives the feeling like she feels guilty about it... |

Hahaha agreed with presidentandceo, lyrics are confusing... But I kind of get the feeling that this song is about a)fake fans, and b)bands that try to put them down. I lean more towards the bands, like they are telling them they dont have to pretend anything, and thus they dont have to explain anything, and they are done trying to explain themselves, and basically telling them "when you grow up well talk" and the end its just like "you arent our idols anymore because we seen who you are" I may be completly wrong but eh, I said they were hard! >. |

I agree with lol_is_a_lie but I think it goes beyond prescription drugs. I think its a more general concept of drug use, legal or not, to numb certain unwanted feelings. I think it's also talking about how when you act a bit out of the norm they automatically "numb" you out. "He's got a secret to tell His imaginary friend knows everything Don't let him go out" He is acting a bit different, thus we have to "control him" maybe kind of touching on the point of copy cat effects, like if we dont control him he will infect others? (because of the "dont let him go out" |
