I really like this song, it is a pitty tho that it will get overplayed till it loses all meaning. All she's doing is combining the two period wear young people rose up against the goverment, and saying she wishes kids now could do that. I like the way she's done it. If anyone gets a chance take a look at the rest of her album as well, some songs are really good. |

i think theres too much focus on lables, what does it matter weither there pop or punk, if u like them u like them. Personally i used to be way into them till i seen them live and they werent that good, but i still think there a good band and theres nothing wrong with catchy songs. Alot of people start of liking blink and move onto heavier bands and then turn round and diss them. There a good band and people should focus more on the music and lyrics than labling it pop or punk...the main difference to me if the fact that these guys can have a laugh and take the piss outa themself. How many pop videos do that? |

Im not really sure the song is all about not really knowing people, personally i think its more about how sometimes we can let the past take over our lives, were always looking back, but sometimes it chaches up with u and can cause chaos.or alternitively we can be very carefull and keep looking behind us and not notice what is happening in fround, the consequenses being jst as bad. I also think because he's talking about how things look different in the mirror it may be how our perseptions have changed and when you look back to your past you dont always remember it as it happened or feel the same as you did at the time.I think maybe he was feeling bad at the time feeling sorry for himself so thinking back to things that have happened...he does make refernces to good points about these things before he lost them showing that he does see sum good..."We were racing, we were soldiers of fortune, We got in trouble but we sure got around" |

Personally i think that maybe he's went out for a bit of fun with sum mates and ended up kissin someone he liked but shes already with sumone. This might be right cause he says "How did it end up like this/ It was only a kiss it was only a kiss" and now he's feeling guilty and jelous of the other man. These thoughts a consuming him and he see's the couple walkin about and stuff but he cant say anythin or do anything because she ultimatly chose her boyfriend and theres nothing he can do.He wants to move on but she still keeps him hanging on, perhaps as the other man."Choking on your alibis/ But its jst the price I pay" This may be talking about the lies she tells to both of them, but thats the only way he can have her, thats the price he must pay. At the end though it says "Destiny is calling me" I think this means that he is finally gonna try and move on. Of coarse it could also mean that he is being cheated on, but i prefer thinking of it from my point of veiw, but jst take it watever way it relates to you. |

This song reminds me of someone in particular so my meaning of it may be a bit screwed up. I think he's someone who kinda dramatises the emotional things he's went through n uses it as an excuse to get drunk and feel sorry for himself "He likes to spill all of his gutsOn the top of a well stocked bar"and "swallow them bit by bit remembering every scar". I think the new tattoo bit shows that he's trying to make himself interesting and cool, but really its only on the surface which isnt the problem, its his personality that needs help not his body. I think "Can't smash up that beautiful face" could be about violence but probebly more about the way a girls face crumples when she cry's...like when a girls happy n smiling shes bueatifull but after realising he's not tru her heart n face seam to be smashed. The girl chooses the guy because "That self pity shit is just too hard too resist"...this seems to me (May be a long shot) Cause a guy can manipulate her feeling like maybe if he was see'ing someone else by telling her storys of how awful the other is, he can still manipulate her into loving him.Its also very hard to be able to refuse someone who u feel sorry for and u begin to feel compassion for them. "you'll see that this part of him is now part of me" Shows that the girl has been affected by him and therefor will still carry her experience on to further relationships"And its way too easy to fake this smile lead you on" although he's not making excuses for him, he's gotton so used to leading ppl on its a habit now and it is perhaps a little the girls fault, she doesnt make it difficult for him to lead her on, perhaps because shes too nieve. "Maybe I'm wrong but everyone gets bored once in awhile" trivialinses the relationship between the two people although the girl obviousely really cares about him...he sees her as something to do when he's bored. Well uve all prob stoped reading by now, sorry for overanalysing and boring u's all lol. |
