I agree with anomalous. I don't think there could be anything more romantic than knowing the world is ending and that you're going to die, and spending that time with the person you love so you can have as much time with them as possible. |

I don't know what the intention behind this song was but to me it's just whatever I play whenever I'm annoyed with someone for criticising me for not being what they think I should be... i.e. not being invited into their world. Doesn't work for all of the song but thats what it is to me :) |

there are heaps of references to a non-violent german resistance group to the nazi movement called the swing jugend on this album. they greeted each other by saying 'swing heil'... thats where thats from, not a reference to S&M. Theres other references in other songs. I'm studying the swing jugend at the moment so it was pretty cool to find that. |

I never thought it had anything to do with pregnancy. I always thought 'a friend who bleeds is better' was something to do with self mutilation, perhaps the girl is going through a hard time and they can relate to each other. I just don't like the pregnancy theory. Plus there are many tests in life. I thought maybeshe was through this hard time and they were closer together as a result of it |

I always thought of it as being something about lovers- people that arent really together(hence these bonds are shackle free) and their love is intensifiedsomehow by the knowledge that the other person could fall in love with someone else at any one time, maybe one of them did do something with someone else... And the asking the sea for answers is for me how he questions where he is going in life, not really 'asking the sea' but maybe standing on the beach thinking things over |
