King Christian (IV) became King of Denmark when he was 11 years old. He had 23 children. He died in 1648.
There are some interesting facts for you about King Christian from the video on my Mew DVD. The video is to the new version though so it has different lyrics. I'll post them if I can get them right...they're harder to hear but better [at least I think so] than the first version of the song. Oh in the video it shows him being shot in the eye...so...maybe that happened too. |

The first version of SCHFC on the album A Triumph For Man makes the meaning pretty clear...the last line is "Don't touch her there when he fucked her". If it's about anything other than rape then I'd be very suprised.
Also... "This is not happening" is not the last line in any of the versions of the song... |

It seems that 156 is a mystery that Mew are never going to reveal the meaning of...is it a door number? Phone number? What the hell is it? I've been through so many possibilities it's insane! Someone once told me it was the police code for burgulary...I think in Denmark? I'm not sure how accurate that it, but if it is true, it would make sense, especially when you see in the video Mew breaking into Callie's house! |

The song is about the government, the Danish government to be precise, Mew have said this many times. ..which is why I find it quite amusing that this song made it onto the Spiderman 2 soundtrack! |
