I think it's about someone cheating on someone else and knowing about it. but at the same time you want to see it for yourself. "stop sign told me stay at home

As crazy as this may sound I think it's about a love triangle. Maybe two guys and one girl. I think the girl likes one of the guys more than the other and would rather spend time with him and not the other guy and that's why she is always making up excuses. Or maybe it's about a single mother? the line that says "i know she loves the sunrise, no longer see's it with her slepping eyes". Maybe she has to get up early to feed the baby and that what her other ties are? Just my humble opinion. |

I have a different take on this song. My situation was a bit different, I was dating someone I shouldn't have been dating (she is married) and I got involved with her. She was/is a family friend she was going through some problems and I guess I was there to make her feel better about herself. Then one day out of nowhere she stopped calling. The line that says "I never meant to cause you trouble, no I never meant to cause you harm" always sticks out in my mind because if I had never gotten involved with her, we would still be talking and we would still be friends. Great song! |
