I loved the part at the end "i went to your schools, i went to your churches", like all their things shaped him and now they're calling him crazy. And i don't think the 'get hit by a car part' means he's going to kill himself, i just think he's sort of joking like after all their efforts somethig will probably happen to him anyways. |

I don't think it's that wierd that he would write a song about a 'big headed vampire', as some people said. I mean, they've had wierder lyrics. He was supposedly obssesed with space and aliens. Vampires aren't that far off. |

I know this is 'song meanings', and please nobody yell at me for being dumb, but i was wondering and i hope somebody here could just fill me in. I know there is a US, Uk, Japenese and French versin of the album, but i looked up the songs on those CDs, and the only songs on the other albums that weren't on the US album were 'under the gun', 'michael valentine', and 'indie rock and roll'. Then on the list of Killer's songs on this website there were a bunch of other songs, like 'stereo of lies', 'desperate' etc. Wasn't 'Hot Fuss' their first album? Sorry but if any body has time to explain that i'd appreciate it. Thanks. |

The 'you' they keep refering to is jesus? So then I think this is about jesus and how they're not worthy of him or something like that. Or they're not religious, or don't believe in him, and wouldn't lie, cry, die for him? |

Oooh i live this song.
About weezer's cover...i think that no matter how good a cover is, any good it is is credited to the original because it's where the original tune, lyrics, etc. came from. But even if you don't think like that, the weezer one is a lot worse. At least that is what i think.
Frank Black has mentioned in interviews a lemur/cat girl, and the mountains. And i've heard he was obsessed with surealism and aliens. He's also said his lyrics don't really mean antything. So i think that maybe this song is just about him and an girl/lemur/cat, maybe she's an alien, and they're in the moutains? |

This is a kind of metaphoric meaning, but I always kind of thought of it like he was taking to himself, sort of, like a past self. He has a conversation with a younger version of himself, and they're talking about his life and such. |

Kurt Cobain has said lots of times that what he exactly meant in his lyrics isn't important. it's how they make you feel, sometimes even just single words, together with the tune. also, he used the cut tup method to write a lot of his songs, which kind of distorts meanings. he's also said that it annoys him when people try to analyze his lyrics. so what matters is you feel when you are listening to it. |

I heard this song was written after Kurt Cobain stayed up all night listening to 'Meet The Beatles!', and that's why it sound's so pop-ish. |
