| (+44) – No It Isn't Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Blink should still be together. And Mark isn't helping the situation with this song. But it's my guilty confession to admit that I LOVE this song. It's better than anything AVA can even /attempt/ make. It's so beautiful...and meaningful... And cruel. Oh so cruel to whoever it's being sung to. >_> |

I'm going to go farther than the "jumping off a building / wtc" meaning of the song. Even though blink broke up AFTER this song was made, and it couldn't possibly be connected to them breaking up like No It Isn't [Plus 44] is, I think of this song as a foreshadowing of their inevitable reunion. In fact, they should release it if they ever become bliink again. Why? Because: "the building turned it's back ignored my call" Tom [all Tom lovers, please don't skewer me!] was being a bit of a whiny pansy. He brought it upon himself to leave blink with his attitude and decisions. The building could be Mark and Travis, turning their backs on him. "the concrete looks too thin to break my fall" That, and the rest of the verse, obviously means he jumped. Jumped how? Maybe he jumped from the band and fell out of the spotlight, and out of people's respect for him. "I saw it all, I saw it all go down" Mark's verse, in comparison, is his POV on the whole band breaking up. He watched as Tom left, as Tom made AVA, as Tom covered blink songs at concerts and screwed them up. "I turned away as he came near the street, below, whoa, below, whoa, below" Coming near the street below could be an example of Tom crashing and burning without him and Travis. And finally, when the "let's forget this all, move on"s come into play, that is the moment when blink makes their glorious return to the music industry as one kick ass band. They'll forget everything that happened between them because they've gone through so much [as stated in the verses] without each other. ...But of course, this is fangirl speculation. Obviously wrong. >_> ...But a girl can hope, right? xDDD |

To Turkey Fried on 11-08-2004 @ 10:28:43 PM: Actually, the Linkin Park lyric is "I cannot take this anymore," from One Step Closer (Hybrid Theory), not "How can we fake this anymore?". But yeah, the two lines sound /very/ similar. |

| Simple Plan – Welcome to My Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I don't get the music video. ^_^ Crazy people. Why do they get out of their cars and start walking? O_O For a moment there, when I first watched it, I thought they were going to start rioting and attacking the SP members. ^___^ | |

I'm not a Simple Plan nut, but this song is certainly different. When they perform, the lead singer puts so much feeling into the song. Especially here: Nothing’s gonna change the things that you said And nothing's gonna make this right again Please don't turn your back I can't believe it's hard just to talk to you But you don't understand Many people can relate. You can virtually transform _dad_ into anything. Girl, guy, teacher, friend, family. Nobody can be perfect, so everybody can relate to this song. A very unconventional song when compared to their other songs. Other songs are more poser-punk(//runs from SP-lvrs with pitchforks//), but this one actually sounds pretty good. ^_^ |

High five, _rancidrocks_! GC are such posers. O___O They try to be punk, but they're not. x_____X More pop than whole punk, really... Isn't this song just called "The Anthem"? |

| Bowling for Soup – Almost Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Yeah- the music video is hilarious. =) Especially when they try to do the sports and activities and end up lookin' like weirdos. O_O I know, it's absolutely impossible to relate to the chorus. Unless you're a reclusive hermit who doesn't even know about Bowling For Soup and think that it's an organization that makes people bowl for soup. O_O |

| Not a very intullectual song, but very funny and catchy. I had me laughing, because... the beat and rythm is wacky. =P | |
| Eminem – Cleaning Out My Closet Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Mike: I first heard this song on TV. (This was way before my Eminem obsession started, though.) It was about his mother trying to take some of his hard-earned money by su(e)ing(...?) him because she was a embarassed by his lyrics(government conspiracies, cuss words, etc...), or offended, or something... He made this song to counter her offense. It was all over the news, and stuff. They played a clip of the music video where he was covering a grave with dirt in the pouring rain. A little disturbing, but a pretty nice song. I feel a little bad about enjoying the song. This has nothing to do with my mom- I just like the beat. The end. |

| Eminem – Without Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Interesting why people diss Eminem on this particular song. There are dozens more out there. Why this one? Anyway- whatever. ^_^ I admit, this song is one of his post-old ones, but it's still a classic. You can't possibly forget the fast beat of the chorus. He's right you know, you uckers-fay who hate him, it's totally empty without him. You've got to admit it. Dissers would have no one to diss and lovers would have no one to love. You know he's right. //wink// The music video is hilarious, by the way. Like an animated comic book. ^_^ With Eminem as Robin, Elvis, and Bin Laden (Sadaam? I don't really know which one. O_O), and Dr. Dre as Shaft (is he Shaft? O_O I don't know... //blanches//). ^_^ |

| Eminem – Lose Yourself Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It is really amazing that people actually _choose_ to affront Eminem's passion for rapping and making songs. This song is one of many that inspire people. I mean, if you edit out the cuss words and such, parents would like it, too! The intro and outro teach people to reach for the stars and that life's goals are limitless. The song goes well with the movie, also building up suspense in the trailer. The music video is basically excerpts from the movie, but intervals show him standing there. He is a lot like a preacher who encourages you to set your mind to what you want, no matter the obstacles. Except most preachers don't use swear words. O_O | |
| Eminem – We As Americans Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Whoa, I was wondering why I found this song name so recognizable. I'm checking my Encore CD right now. There. //points like a l00n// "We As Americans." ^_^ I haven't listened to the bonus track CD yet- even after three or four months of having it. O_O The music video's pretty... uhh... it can't be described. | |
| Eminem – Evil Deeds Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Eminem pwns. That's all I have to say. He's a very talented poet. It's amazing that even after who-knows-how-many songs and CDs he's made, that all his raps don't actually sound the same. -_- | |
