| The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics

I think this is about someone whose friend is suicidal, and who didn't understand his depression and his sadness until it was too late. After his friend killed himself, he reflected on what he could have done. If he had just known to stay up with him all night, to let him talk, to listen- he would have known how to save a life. He is heartbroken. He lost a friend; he lost a friend, he blames himself. |

This song makes me cry if I thinkabout it too much. I love it so much... and I have to agree with all of you, it's perfectly fitting with the harshness of a long distance relationship. This is a personal question, but seeing as this we're all fairly anonymous, can I ask about the long distance relationships you've had, the ones that this song recalls? (to the people who've already posted, or to anybody else who can relate to this song).
And yeah, this song is beautiful. his devotion comes through so honestly through the lyrics and tone, which are amazing... "And yes you're in my head, but that doesn't make you here"- he's brilliant! |

this song is, for lack of a more fitting word, "cute". He loves someone so much, someone that is beautiful to him although she is hated or feared by others... and he's so affectionate in the lyrcis and tone, I like this :) |

to me, "it's better to burn out than to fade away" is perfectly accurate in explaining Kurt Cobain's death (and why it quoted it). Better to end it quickly, because it IS over... rather than waste away, depressed and alone, for another 50 yrs. my personal opinion, anyway |

| Arcade Fire – My Heart Is an Apple Lyrics

"My heard is an apple".... I love that. To me, the way she sings "Your mouth is full... my heart is an apple" (thats what it sounds like to me) is the best part of the song. I think it means that somebody has a "bite" of her heart, so to speak- she's so in love, it's as though someone has such a firm grip on her heart, and is "eating" at it (an apple). I love this song so much. |
