Regina Spektor – December Lyrics 19 years ago
i agree with icarus, at least in that it's about some form of bitter seperation...
my favorite part is the first round of
"come on and say you're sorry
real sorry for the trouble that you caused
can't you see all this love?
can't you see all this love?"
i love how it starts out with her almost asking for someone to be genuinely sorry, and then by the second time she asks "can't you see all this love?" it is angry, as if asking to know why the relationship is over.

Audioslave – Doesn't Remind Me Lyrics 20 years ago
i feel like this song is a lot sadder than most of us would like it to be.
everyone has memories they try to actively forget..and by denying that any of those things mean anything to him is the effort to forget those memories..

A Perfect Circle – Magdalena Lyrics 20 years ago
this always made sense to me as it being about a prostitue (i'd sell my soul, my self esteem a dollar at a time - prostitution is one of the few things that carries such a stimga in American culture)..one that was particularly irresistable for whatever reason. that also makes sense if we go with the popular theory that mary magdalene was a harlot....i dont see it as being about her specifically, but more so just using her as a clear symbol to represent whomever he's actually talking about... ..not asking you to buy into it, but that's what it does for me..
