i love it when he says..."i haven't memorized all the cute things to say- but i'm working on it." it just makes me think about how people think that they have to live up to certain expectations..but noones perfect. he probably hears all these guys telling their girlfriends all these cheesy lines and he thinks that he has to do that too but he hasn't learned it yet. he just feels that pressure and hes trying like everyone else is. thats what everyone in life is doing..just trying to be their best. |

I think this song is saying that they there are going to be bad things happening everyday but the only way to get through them is to realize that its going to be fine and you'll make it through. It seems like I usually make it through things that I never thought I would and then I look back and wish that I would've realized then that things would turn out right. Usually in the end things do turn out how they're supposed to. |

The suicide idea makes the song have much more depth. Its not just about a girl who has a bad attitude about life.. but her problems were far worse than that. And shes always saying she had a bad day over and over again to him...until finally she can't take it anymore and she has one final bad day. And she says she had a bad day in the note like she always did before. I thought that was interesting because thats all she would ever say to him that she had a bad day. Maybe if she went vented all of her problems to him then she wouldn't of had to commit suicide if she did. I think its a very sad song. |

I'm surprised more people have written on here because its such a great song. I think its talking about the sorrows that people endure and that life isn't always fair like you think it should be. And sometimes the things that you believe to be true don't always hold up and surpass everything else which is sad. I like where he says "talk about the dream like the dream is over, talk like that won't get you nowhere" to me that means that you shouldn't expect something to happen the way you want it without putting any effort into it. Talking about doing things is easy but you have to actually go out there and make it happen. And sometimes when you expect something to go one way it doesn't but it turns out totally unexpectedly. Thats whats weird about life...it alway knows how to twist and make things unexpected and interesting. That can be good - or bad. But its always exciting seeing what actually happens after you wait for so long to see the results. |

I don't think that hes saying that money will bring true happiness...hes just saying that money isn't all that bad if you don't get too involved with it. Its nice to have enough to support your family and to get them a few gifts for holidays. So hes saying that when people say that they don't understand how hard it is for people who have nothing at all. Its nice to have things if you don't get too greedy about it. |
