(he's tries to save his relationship with last words.. but it blow past and through her.. she's not listening.. his arguements are disjointed.. up and down .. all over the place.. make no sense) He reassures himself that he is ok. He continues by saying that sometimes as hard as we try to save a dying relationship.. its just not going to happen.. we refuse to believe that its happening.. we over-analyze.. we concede arguements that we know we disagree with.. I think when he says the line.. "back the good old times before it won".. he is talking about IT as love.. but a blind type of love.. cause love can be blinding and make you change yourself .. make you someone you later realize you aren't.. Great song! |

| I love how the beat picks up when he realizes or perhaps exclaims that he is the one worth leaving.. almost like he's shouting into a void of silence.. its too late for them.. but he has begun to free himself from his feelings.. he is justifying his hurt.. and yet he is timidly realizing that they are no more.. he seems to be talking more to himself than too her.. convincing himself that he needs to forget about what they had.. and move on | |

I really miss the watchmen, I've been enjoying alot of their old music recently. This is a great song that I felt I needed to comment on. It a story that all of us will someday have to live... I think the lyrics do such a great job of walking you through the emotions of a loss of a loved one.. the personal struggles.. the sudden outbursts.. the realization... "will I be alright... yeah will I make it"... "You're still in my life today." .. meaning we will never lose someone as long as we keep them in our heart. A really great song. |

| My girlfriend broke up with me while I was starting to listen to this album.. I made her a copy of the cd to listen to, right after we broke up.. just because I liked it.. the more I listened .. the more I realized it was a break-up song and how relavent it was.. esp. considering her reason for breaking up.. that there was nothing wrong.. we just were at different points in our lives (I'm older than her)... I remember her letter 5 days later.. telling me how she realized that she now realized she wanted me back.. thinking about how she didn't want . "give away the end" and seeing her write.. maybe you know "the end" for us.. so let me know if its "here and now".. I realized that the song I sent her made her reconsider. we have been going out for another year since. | |
