Cant believe anyone hasnt commented on this song. Great melodic tune, very catchy. I dont listen to this kind of songs much, but I saw the video for it in a pub and had to download it the next day. The meaning behind the lyrics are pretty obvious (a guy is in love with a girl but the girl treats him like shit, but the guy cant do anything about, he loves her and still "tries again" and so waits for her to love him back. What makes this song great for me are the lyrics and how I can relate to them like they are my own thoughts. |

About the meaning... humanflame had it almost right, but my interpretation is: The guy is madly in love with this evil woman, who is playing with him (like humanflame said) they maybe have a twisted relationship of some sort, but finally the guy realizes what she is doing with him and decides to cut her out of his life, ignoring her and not talking to her, she then tries to "ensnare" the guy back, but the guy is now happy with his new life (has a new GF maybe?) and tells it to her face that she poisoned his life and she is dead to him. You cant imagine how I can relate to this song, its insane. |

Absolutly amazing song IMO. One of the most melancholic songs ever from Katatonia. The song IMO is about a guy who finds out or witnesses something shocking and horrible which forces him to run and dissapear but the things he saw still haunt his dreams. Or a tottally different possibility is that he himself did those horrible things and now is forced the flee but this line: "The one who did this to us well he got away" contradicts that possibilty IMO. |

Best song ever by BYD in my opinion. This is what the lyrics mean to me... The guy has an abusive stepfather who abuses his mother, but the person is too young and scared to tell anyone about it, and his mother denies it cuz she is in love with the bastard. So the son keeps it to himself. Years later he starts thinking he should have told someone but its too late. |
