Ok Megeddo, I'm going to have to stop you there. This song has nothing to do with Bush?? The whole album is about the extreme right-wing agenda of the current administration. Just look at 'Holiday' - all about the invasion of Iraq. (Note how I don't call it a war. For it to have been a war someone would have had to have the ability to fight back.) Plus, my dear deluded 'these roots'. You make me laugh honey because you don't realise this song is taking the piss out of people exactly like you. The lyrics are pure IRONY. It's basically saying that homophobic idiots like you will say 'he's left-wing that must mean he's a faggot'. Which is what you've done. So stand up and take a bow for completely conforming to the small-minded stereotype that Green Day are laughing at. |
