"I make the colors go"...I believe Henry is saying he's putting things in "black and white" - minimalism is the underlying theme of the song (at least to my interpretation). "here I am keen eyed, my mind is low to the ground...and in my mind real time is mine and I know what I know" to know the basic (or "black and white") meaning of everything that surrounds you without clouding up its existence (ie: starving yourself) you're forcing yourself to reflect upon why things are the way they are - without catering to the commercialism that is so prevelant all around you. that's my take. |
