| Jethro Tull – Cross-Eyed Mary Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Actually I think by "get along" Anderson is talking more about sex rather than monetary donations. | |

| You guys have ruined Jethro Tull for me. | |
| Jethro Tull – Locomotive Breath Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
18 here, and I have banned anything but rock from my truck, so if I am driving my friends somewhere they are forced to get an education about what good music really is. Anyways, I always got the impression that the train was about to crash with the all-time loser on it. His life is headed toward disaster, as he has just lost his wide and kids and death is coming for him. He has suffered in life, hence 'God has go him by the balls'. After that line he picks up the bible and reads from page one(Genesis), maybe to figure out why God wants him to suffer. What does 'locomotive breath' really mean? I think it is about how the breath that god breathed into everyone created us and the locomotive-like state that we live in. |

| Harry Nilsson – Jump Into the Fire Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| However short the lyrics are, this song has a killer bass riff and always gets me going. I love this song for Nilsson's crazy singing and the wicked bass. With a subwoofer this song POUNDS. It was also in Goodfellas, and just fits the scene perfectly. Great song. | |
| Harry Nilsson – Coconut Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I read once that it was druggie homour, which isn't hard to believe. Putting the lime in the coconut is also a phrase for having sex. Does anyone else see a connection between coconut = cocaine? She is taking a dime-bag of coke, but what does the lime represent? A line of coke? I think the song is basically this: She made a line of coke from a dime-bag that her "brother" bought her and snorted it, then she gets sick, calls the doctor, who prescribes more coke to make her feel better becuase she is addicted. This is just a guess. If this is accurate, then what does "she paid it for a lime" mean? Maybe she had sex with the guy who obviously wouldn't be her brother for the cocaine that she is addicted to becuase she is a junkie with no money. |

| Elton John – Daniel Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
The speaker idolizes his bigger brother Daniel, who has been permanently disfigured in Vietnam. He is so sad at Daniel's departure that he talks about "clouds in my eyes" which I take to mean he is crying and his tears are obscuring his vision, but he keeps watching the plane fly away. Who knows why Daniel is going to Spain? Just becuase it is "the best place he has ever seen?" He won't be seeing it anymore. Will he be alone as well as blind and scarred? Apparently he has visited Spain before, so is he just going on vacation or is it permanent? |
