this song is about everyday teenager or early 20's kid... no money.... only own whats in ur pockets...which becomes your most prized possesions..which he looses in the holes of his pocket, which he has csaue he's poor... so its a circle... lacking money keeps him from keeping that which is closest to him... and he sleeps on the (linolieum) floor casue he's too poor for bed... He also jokes, when he says "thats right ive got a floor" saying that he can atleast have a floor... Life seems to suck, BUT by the end of the song he's saying how great it is... he just roams around, singing like a fool, and using metal detectors to get money... |
