I think personally that this song means how music comes and goes and takes control of masses of people and makes fads and shit. The SHAKEDOWN part I think implies that its Hardcore music that is makeing the next step, which kinda sucks because a lot of fags are into hardcore now. |

When I think of this song I think of Kill Bill, and how the bride ran away and the father of her child found her and killed her, although its not entirely like that.
I agree with Poison The Bled in that its about someone being jealous/angry that the woman was married, so he killed her. Kick ass song. But then at the end it says "You will pay the price" which kinda implies that the woman did something to deserve her death. |

Its about god and how people don't believe in him. The singer is singing.. or well screaming.. about how he doesnt understand how people cant believe in him when he has done so much. |

Saw them a week or 2 ago in Hartford. They were AMAZING live, but I was a little angry that they didnt play a lot of their old stuff off of Odd How THey Shake (Their best album by far)
I really wanted to hear The Libson Girls, and a bunch of other older ones.
Anyways, I do agree with the fact that this song is about people thinking that drugs and alchohol are the only way to have fun, and that eventually it fucks lives up. |

The lyric is actually "Father dont you cut the rope, I want to DIE here." Therefore easily stating its about suicide. Whether or not its EXACTLY from the Virgin Suicides is beyond me, but it does show relation to it. |
