| Ashman your opinion is a pretty good one. This song is one of my two favorite of all time along with Wonderwall by Oasis. Beautiful Day has helped me through some hard times and will hopefully help me through many more. I've listened to it so much that it's the only song on my CD that won't play. Anyways to me it pretty much means that with all the crap that can happen to you in this world there is so much that is good that we overlook. | |

I want to start off about the whole Oasis vs. The Beatles and which one is better. You can't fairly judge it for many reasons.1. Is the time periods of the bands are two different. When the Beatles were around rock and roll was pretty much one thing. With Oasis you had grunge, heavy metal, and so on. The Beatles did not have that much competition. Also since The Beatles were around first there was more things for them to accomplish and barriers to break. But so much advancements had been made in Rock and roll up to the '90s that Oasis couldn't do much cause everything had been done before. Going back to the time period music was way more diverse in the '90s than in the '50s and '60s so people's interest in music have diversified as well. Anyways about the song. I love it. It is one of my two favorite songs. The other being beautiful day by U2.This song in my opinion is like what you all have said about a guy/girl that likes the opposite sex but is having some sort of conflict with the whole situation. This has recently happened to me.Here is how the song applied to me. Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now (I liked a girl and no one else liked her on the same level i did.) Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out (A few people told me that she didn't like me the same way she did before.) I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now (There were plenty of guy's that said they loved her and just wanted her for her looks and probably to get with her. Me on the other hand i liked for every aspect about her.) And all the roads we have to walk are winding And all the lights that lead us there are blinding (there was alot of crap and obstacles we had to go through and didn't end up together in the end anyway) There are many things that I would like to say to you But I don't know how (I tried to tell her I felt but everything came out as a mumbled mess of words.) Because maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me And after all You're my wonderwall (when i was with her i had no troubles and i was a better person. She was my wonderwall and saved me from all the crap in the world.) |
