i agree w/ _silence in the dark_ it's like a sequal to Here Without You. which is pretty ironic since this song reminds me of my ex (who i happened to be in love with) and our song just so happens to be Here Without You. yeah pretty crazy..but anyways this song is so amazing and it completely explains how i felt about my ex. words cant even explain. I think the absolute best line in this song is ''I've been waiting so long just to hold you, and to be back in your arms where I belong " wow.... |

Wow Lindsey got real deep! I personally think this song is really good and very original. I've also had some problems w/ my father too, so i feel all you guys that posted stuff about ur dads. but i think the most intense and most emotional part of the song is when she's like '' I.....I LOVE YOU'' ...gives me the chills everytime. definitely a good song. |

omg this song is soo awesome!! it has so much meaning and i think that's so awesome that everyone can relate to at least some of this song! to me, this song is about a relationship that ended with a ''let's just be friend'' which we all know that after thats said, you dont really become friends in most cases. So then they use the standard lines like ''I've been meaning to call you
I've just been so busy
We'll catch up soon
Let's make it a point to" And a lot of us know that when you say that, you never really do it. It's like they use those 'standard lines' to hide what they really want to say about how they truly feel. And in my opinion, i think that the "new diet" is referring to alcohol. because in my own personal experiences, i've drank becuase of a break up..so thats just what i think. But who knows...i could be totally wrong!-- I love Dashboard!!

omg i love this song and i can completely relate to it right now. My best friend is in a really bad relationship right now...the guy is a complete ass and he has cheated on her more than once, but she just can't let him go. i've tried to help her and i've tried to talk some sense into her, but she just wont let go. I think thats what this song's about-- a girl that's in a bad relationship, but can't let go because she's ''addicted'' or more so...afraid. |

Listen OldskoolrockerJTS...if you really want to be 'mature' about this, then dont go judging ppl because of what kind of music they like. Everyone has their opinion about what kind of music is 'good'...just like you have your opinion that bands like Metallica and Led Zeppelin are 'good'. Now dont get me wrong, i like those bands too. but just cuz you dont like Dashboard, doesnt mean you need to go making fun of it, or ppl who listen to it. Now, im a girl that listens to DC and i happen to love their music not because they're 'hot', but because i really do love the music and the lyrics and because i can relate to the lyrics. And just because this music is 'simple' and doesnt have all these awesome guitar solos like bands like Metallica, doesnt mean that this music isnt good. To lots of ppl, this music has meaning rather than complexity. So next time, dont go making fun of other ppl's music...and keep ur comments to urself.

I do agree that this song does have somethin to do with sex. but i dont think its just about a 'booty call'. I think that this guy is in a relationship and they're having sex for the first time w/ eachother. and his buddies are the type that are just about 'getting some' so i think in this line *"Hey did you get some?"... Man, that is so dumb

The Used kicks ass!! This has got to be one of their best songs..its so beautiful! I think this song is about a guy losing the one person he loved and then thinking he has nothing to live for anymore "and now it seems that i have found nothing at all" and he needs some help from someone but he gets no answer. So now he's on his own. |

I think that this song is about a death of a relationship and about how he misses the girl. In the line "we can live like jack and sally" i think they're referring to Jack and Sally in "The Nightmare Before Christmas", which are a great couple in the movie. Also, I think Travis from Blink 182 wrote these lyrics because he and his wife, Shanna, have pet names that are Jack and Sally. So i think that has something to do with where the lyrics came from. |
