I read somewhere that the name came from a woman at the studio he was working at, he asked about her but mis-heard her name as Sussdio. Can't remember where I read it though. |

I remember seeing an interview about this song once, and some of the previous posts are correct, Bono wrote it after he forgot his missus birthday. This explains all the 'I'm Sorry' messages in the video. All in all, this is a truely remarkable song, and I love it to bits. |
