The Tragically Hip – Blow At High Dough Lyrics 20 years ago
What I'm wondering is "Where/What is High Dough?"

The Tragically Hip – Scared Lyrics 20 years ago
You mean World War 2. World War 1 was referred to as "The Great War" not WW2, and there was no such thing as Nazis yet during World War 1.

The Tragically Hip – Cordelia Lyrics 20 years ago
This is one of my favourite Hip songs that is NOT a single. I hate always hearing the first two songs from Road Apples (Little Bones, Twist My Arm) at bars and on the radio, but never hearing this one. The fact that Macbeth is refered to in the lyrics is a great indicator that Gord is in fact referring to Cordelia, the daughter of Shakespear's King Lear.

Fatboy Slim – Right Here, Right Now Lyrics 20 years ago
note: someone else on the internet suggested that the cut up female vocals were saying "Waking up to find that love's not real (or here)". This is the best possibility I've seen or heard of.

To me, the last part of the cut up female vocals sounds like "that love's not real" or "that love's not here", and that sounds pretty clear to me. The first part doesn't really sound like english words at all. Honestly though I don't think Fatboy Slim intended those vocals to be saying anything at all.

Swollen Members – Lady Venom Lyrics 20 years ago
I'm not a big fan of hip hop and rap, but I love this song. It's definately my favourite hip hop track. I love the beat and the lyrics are at least a little more deep and meaningful than most other hip hop I've ever heard. There's some good imagery in there too...

oh and here's some corrections on the lyrics:

The dawn of a **burgundy autumn** blinds the minds of most men
**Vomiting** from the quarantine, praying for the end

it's unclear to me whether it's "God as a Cerabus", "God of the Cerabus", "Daughter's of Cerabus" or something else... Cerabus (by that spelling) doesn't actually mean anything. So I think it's either Erebus (the dark region of the underworld in greek mythology) , Cerberus (A three-headed dog guarding the entrance to Hell in Greek/Roman mythology) or Serapis (An ancient Egyptian god of the lower world)

Sal
