It is beautiful...I had this all figured out, I had it penned out that "rosemary" was the name of the mother from the "ghost reveries" story, and this note must have been found by someone else, which gives insight as to why she may have took a dark path...

from what i can gather, and from what ive interpruted, this is the characters final stand if you will, to conjure the demon inside and face him. Again, i have no lyricall refrence for this, its just a picture in my head, but the last verse may be a conversation with his mother as to why this all has transpired...then it all ends with the demon finally taking over....what happened next? |

actually it IS related to satan...its part of the concept of the entire album.
Its not about suicide, its the character accepting what he is, so he isolates himself from the ones he loves as not to hurt them, and when he is sure of his purpose, then he will once again become the devil's servant |

I think its the turning point, where he begins to accept what he is, although is cleary un happy with it.
I cant find a link lyrically, but the underwater sounds at the end make me think he trys to end his life....which leads me to...atonement |

I cant shift my mind of this concept..
The mother has some sort of relationship with a hellish beast, maybe a pysical being like the incubus or a religious connection, and for some reason, becomes pregnant with a unholy spawn.
Thats the only real explanation i can find for the line "ghost of predition, stuck in her chest."
So going on this, i think this song is about the mothers final hours before passing, knowing what she has allowed her son to become |
