i think this song is lyrically amazing.
i completely agree with Tranchan on the meaning and if you only look at this song on the surface, it could seem racist and mean (although i never saw it that way). but if you look deeper into it it's obviously a sarcastic song.
utterly amazing.
i can't see how this would turn you off of lola ray.
it only made me love them more. |

if you listen closely, the "i should be laughing now" doesn't start until after "7 love you so much" and if the theory that that the 7 is based of the 7 jury votes needed to convict the man who killed katie, then it seems like the "i should be laughing now" could be sang by her parents. it's like the man who killed their daughter is getting the punishment he deserves by being convicted by 7 jury memebers, but that won't bring their daughter back.
that's what i always thought that line meant. |
