I can't believe more people haven't commented on this song, it is by far the best one on the album, although, "take this" is a close second. I think everyone can relate to this song. Yes, it does seem to be about his marriage...but the lyrics are so heartful and meaningful...I loooove it. Definately a great song. |

This song will always and forever hold a special meaning for me and my friends that I graduated high school with. It was our class song and my one friend Chris used to sing it allll the time; sadly, he passed away about 2 months ago...everytime I hear this song, I think of him and it brings a smile to my face...yet makes me sad at the same time. To me, this song is about feeling all alone...yet this song makes me think of all my friends from high school and all the good times we've had... |

I looooooooooove this song. I've had her album "musicbox" forever and it's defintely better than the stuff she has come out with recently. I agree with the above comment that the song is about her trying to figure out who she was.
I especially love this particular part of the song:

I totally agree with baby_black too, you summed it up perfectly. I am one of the people who hides a lot of their emotions and this is why this song really speaks to me. The lyrics are great and so is Seether. Awesome. |

Definitely one of my favorite Staind songs. I think everyone should hear this song at some point during their lives, even if they're not a big Staind fan. It's an easy song to relate to because who hasn't felt like they were on the outside before, or that someone they thought they knew turned out to be everything they despise in a person? I personally hate fake people and this song (especially the chorus) I think is referring to people who on the outside might seem beautiful, fun, and what have you...but on the inside, they are anything but. I especially love the end of the song, because Aaron says that "tomorrow will be okay." |

I absolutely love this song. I have to disagree with what a few of the other people are saying though...definitely not an anti-drug song, but then again, everyone is open to his or her own interpretation, so it's all good. My favorite line is "it's not a habit, it's cool, i feel alive." If anyone has ever been on drugs, they know EXACTLY what the singer is talking about. For me, this song has some great memories, DEFINITELY one of my all-time favorites. |

I absolutely love this song. I bought their album back when "Hanging By a Moment" was gaining popularity, and this is by far my favorite song on this album. After reading some of the other users' interpretations, I can see how this song could be about his relationship with God; however, I believe it is about someone he cares about deeply and how he could never live without them. This song always puts me in a good mood, even though it's slower. The lyrics are beautiful. |
